Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6: Are Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar playing favourites?
We aren’t making any judgments, but that’s what the contestants seem to believe…
The Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 contestants aren’t quite happy with their judges – Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar. We hear that a few of the celebrities on the show are miffed, believing that the three judges are being biased towards fellow contestantDrashti Dhami and her choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan. Want to know why?
Besides the dance show, Drashti is also part of the popular Colors soap Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and hence the favouritism, the rumour whispers. Irked by the whole scenario, one participant said, “I am working very hard, but this season is somewhat weird. There is so much promotion happening around Drashti. For example, the Colors’ website only promotes the Madhubala actress’ mesmerising performances. Even on air last week, for a few hours leading up to the show, only the promos of Drashti’s performance were shown. Why were we ignored? Are we not good enough?”
Apparently the contestants don’t want to upset the channel honchos or the production house, which is why they haven’t been vocal about the judges being unfair. Besides Drashti, Shaan too is on his co-contestants’ hate list, as his performances have been nothing extraordinary and yet he is a consistently high scorer. What puzzles us is the silence on Lauren Gottlieb, who has been part of Remo’s dance film ABCD and almost always scores a perfect 30 – but then she is a fabulous dancer, too, no!
Looks like Madhuri, Remo and Karan have got a lot more to deal with than just judging dance performances this season!
