Shah Rukh Khan had apparently suggested Ankita Lokhande's name to Farah Khan after spotting her in Macau

If rumours are to be believed, Ankita Lokhande has Shah Rukh Khan to thank for helping her bag a role in Farah Khan’s next film Happy New Year. Apparently the star spotted Sushant Singh Rajput’s ladylove at a recently concluded awards gala in Macau.

Says a source, “Several names, including that of Katrina Kaif, have been doing the rounds. SRK spotted Ankita with Sushant at Macau.” Apparently, the actor felt Ankita fitted the bill for the Maharashtrian protagonist perfectly. “He spoke to Farah. Once Ankita came back, she met the director and now has apparently signed on the dotted line,” adds the source.
