The Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra film from the Yash Raj stable portrays a vibrant and quirky side of love in small towns
The Shuddh Desi Romance trailer shows a rather modern love triangle developing between the three young actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor. Directed by Band Baaja Baaraat director Maneesh Sharma, the new film’s trailer certainly is fresh in its look, feel, casting and dialogues.
The fact that Shuddh Desi Romance stars Sushant and not Shahid Kapoor, who was originally supposed to star in the film, works wonderfully. He makes the character of a small town guy look more real, considering Shahid looks every bit a star even in simple characters! Parineeti is her usual feisty self, while newcomer Vaani Kapoor looks promising.
The dialogues in particular are crisp, bold and hilarious. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor manages to stand his own amidst this bunch of young actors and is a treat to watch even in this sneak peak! Some perfect punches, great background score and talented actors make this first trailer both refreshing and entertaining.
