Natty Kumar wants Oscar-winning actor Susan Sarandon to play Indira Gandhi
The Pani Thuli director is working on the script of his next which is based on the Iron Lady of India
Natty Kumar’s last film, Pani Thuli in Tamil, may have got a lukewarm response at the box office but the director is upbeat about his next – a biopic on India’s late Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The director says it his dream to capture the illustrious life of Ms Gandhi on the silver screen and if things materialise then the film will be a trilingual – made in English, Hindi and Tamil.
The biopic has been tentatively titled Iron Lady Indira Gandhi and may have Oscar-winning Hollywood actor Susan Sarandon play the lead role. Natty thinks Susan, who gave an impeccable performance in Dead Man Walking, fits the bill perfectly and he wants her for all the three versions.
