Salman Khan’s plea rejected in 2002 hit-and-run case; the actor to be tried for

culpable homicide

The Mumbai Sessions court today rejected Sallu’s plea for a retrial and has granted him a month’s time to appear before the court

The Mumbai Sessions court verdict on Salman Khan is finally out. The latest we hear is that the court has rejected the Dabangg superstar’s plea for retrial in the 2002 hit-and-run case and he’ll now be tried for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The court has given Sallu a month’s time to appear before it. The Mental star’s Land Cruiser had killed a sleeping pavement dweller and injured four others on September 28, 2002. The actor had challenged the earlier verdict of the Bandra Magistrate Court that charged him with culpable homicide not amounting to murder (Section 304 part II of the Indian Penal Code).
