The style diva shuns her usual glamour quotient to portray a humble NGO worker in Punit Malhotra’s next
Think of Kareena Kapoor and the first thing that will pop into your head is her impeccable fashion statement. The 32-year-old star is known for reinventing her style and keeping it exciting and trendy. But contrary to her popular public image Kareena will be more real and natural, portraying a NGO worker in Punit Malhotra’s new film titledGori Tere Pyaar Mein. “Kareena’s look in this film is very plain. She sports a bindi and very minimal makeup. As for her hair, it is mostly tied into a simple ponytail. As she has light eyes, we have used kajal. The makeup is done in keeping with the character she is playing,” said makeup artist Ritesh Naik, who has worked to give Kareena the required look in the movie. Imran Khan will play Bebo’s love interest in this romantic comedy.
After going de-glam in movies like Refugee, Dev and Omkara, this is Kareena’s fourth film in which she will do the de-glam thing. Bebo will be seen mostly wearing kurtis and salwar kameezes. Designer Manish Malhotra has picked the colourful palette and simple styles and the filmmakers are really excited to see if this look on Kareena will set new trends.
