Jiah Khan suicide: Mumbai court denies bail; Suraj Pancholi to stay in jail till June 27

News is that the aspiring actor who was arrested for abetting Jiah’s suicide, will now have to spend a week more in prison

It looks like the legal trouble for Suraj Pancholi is not going to end anytime soon. After being in police custody for 10 days on charges of abetting Jiah Khan’s suicide (under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code), Suraj will now have to be in police custody for a week more – i.e. till June 27.

Suraj was sent to jail on June 10 after a six-page suicide note was recovered from the late actor’s residence which reportedly blamed the aspiring actor for their turbulent relationship. He had applied for bail, the hearing of which was scheduled for today. And now news is that the Mumbai court has denied Suraj bail and he will have to be behind bars for one more week.
