Shuddh Desi Romance teaser: Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput romance to Ek chidiya!

The couple’s relationship unfolds to Doordarshan’s song of unity from the 1980s

Director Maneesh Sharma’s upcoming film, Shuddh Desi Romance starring Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput is a small town love story. Just a few days ago we saw the digital poster of the film which was quite kitsch. Now, the teaser of this love story is out, and the visuals are cute and quirky, especially because of the use of Doordarshan’s old Anekta mein ekta children’s song Ek chidiya in the background. The digital slow motion and the way the teaser has been cut make it unique.

Parineeti plays the character of a salwaar kameez-clad small town girl Gayatri – she also loves to smoke sitting on the pot – and Sushant plays an innocent desi boy Raghu.
